摘要

The ethnomedicinal study carried out in the department of Agboville (Côte-d'Ivoire) shows that Abbey and Krobou use 108 species of plants to treat gyneco-obstetric disorders. Drugs (bark of root, bark of stem, leave, flower, fruit, seed, plant in entirety, root in entirety, rhizome and sclerote) are used to develop various medicamentous receipts, by expression, infusion, maceration, chewing, kneading, crushing, pulverization, softening, grated, torrefaction and trituration. Eight modes of administration of the drugs are noted: white-washing, vaginal baths, drink, cataplasm, plasters, ingurgitation, oral instillations and purging. The doctors are naturo-therapeuts who use only natural resources (plants, animals, minerals) and fetichors who, in their magico-sacerdotal approach, associate these resources with rites, incantations, the port of pendentives and heteroclite objects. © 2009 Springer Verlag.
