A randomized, double-blind controlled trial has failed to show a significant improvement in time to biochemical recurrence in men with detectable prostate cancer after radical prostatectomy who received sipuleucei-T. Median time to biochemical failure was 18 months in the 117-strong sipuleucel-T group and 15.4 months in the .; control group. PSA doubling time was, however, markedly prolonged in the former group (155 versus 105 days).
