By the personal effort of Craig Gulka, the existing files on RP#7, 1993, "Laboratory Design," were translated from the Apple language in which they had been created, to Word, Adobe Acrobat and Power Point. It should be noted that the tables all had been done individually in Power Point and the text sections had been done individually in Apple word processor language. As I recall, the advantage was that at the time an automatic insert software capability existed so that, as needed, in the text the proper table or file was called so that, as needed, in the text the proper table or file was called up directly. However, this does make for an extensive list of individual files.The approach selected and previously supported in conversation with various members of the NCSL Board of Directors was to do minimal change to the document. In addition it was decided to update the references replacing the earlier document with RP#14 and noting the impending changes to ISA RP52 (which will become a Technical Report as it is converted to electronic form). Some additional comments on references and the necessity of correlating the needs with local regulatory requirements were proposed. The changed sections are inserts to this report; the changes are as follows: Sections 3A, 3B, 3C, 3D, 3E and 3F have update only to the two references.
