摘要

Drawing on qualitative interviews that focus on the experiences of mothers with disabilities in Russia, this article explores the role of family support in shaping care practices and in challenging traditional notions of caregiving and care receiving. By delving into the micro-levelstructure of care, this research demonstrates the nuances of negotiating care in the context of mothering with a disability and uncovers ways of claiming citizenship. The analysis reveals that care is manifested through a multilayered practice that is contingent on multiple actors and socialconfigurations, as well as emotional labour.
