摘要

One of the post analytical fundamental activities in the clinical laboratory is the detection of results that identify the patients under emergency conditions. This is made through the information of Critical Values. These values indicate clinical quick attention of the patient to avoid mortality risk. Other values exist in the exams of laboratories that are important and that have not been sufficiently presented in the medical literature. These are values with tendency to leave the range of normality that we will call Limit Values. Those values are indicative of having or starting the development of an illness. The objective of this work is to present a methodology that: through special functions determine those values and to present a statistical study of the Limit Values. A proposal on the presentation of laboratories analysis is given. It was found that in order to identify the Limit Values and to carry out inferences about the probability of development of an illness is of great help for the specialists in their diagnoses.
