摘要

fetal alcohol spectrun disorder (FASD) is an irreversibledisorder in children that affects the learning centers of thebrain and results in cognitive and behavioral irmpairrment inthe child for life.One of the most pressing problems instudying and treating this disorder is that it is difficult todiagnose. Although the more severe form of the disorder,fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS) is characterized by a distinctset of facial features and growth retardation,the rnajorityof lack these features. and there is no recognizeddiagnostic criteria that can be used toidentify them.
