THOSE WHO ANALYZE WELL CORES for a living say the quality of the samples they see isn't always good enough to generate the data their clients need. That could change. A Canadian company claims its new well coring tool will speed up the coring process and improve the quality and size of the resulting cores. The new technology's ability to deliver longer core samples is key to its usefulness, Quest Coring Services says, noting its coring tool was designed to bridge the gap between 30-foot wireline coring and 120-foot conventional coring.
