摘要

Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) is a serious and potentially lethal complication of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). AKI in dengue infection was associated with higher mortality and longer hospital stay that sometimes-required initiation of kidney replacement therapy. Risk factors for AKI in patients with dengue are advanced age, male gender, obesity, hemorrhagic fever, rhabdomyolysis, multiple organ dysfunction, diabetes mellitus, concomitant bacterial infection, delay in hospital consultation, and use of nephrotoxic drugs. Among hospitalized patients with severe dengue 3,3 to 4,8 develop AKI, of which^14,1 require dialysis.
