Types of Contributions Short Communications,Mini-Reviews.The Editors will only accept communications that are original,urgent,and significant.Communications should be written in the correct format(i.e.the Introduction,Experimental,Results and Discussion sections combined into a single untitled section)and only hold essential information in no more than three printed pages.Any experimental detail that cannot be briefly described should be placed in the footnotes,the references,or stored online as supplementary data.A graphical abstract for the Journal table of contents is now also required.Submission of Contributions Authors are encouraged to submit their papers electronically directly to the appropriate Regional Editor by using online manuscript submission.Authors interested in online submission are requested to visit http://ees.elsevier.com/inoche and upload their manuscript and its associated artwork.An electronic(PDF)proof is generated and the reviewing process is carried out using that PDF.It is crucial that all graphical and tabular elements to placed within the text,so that the PDF is suitable for reviewing.Authors and editors send and receive all correspondence by email via the website and no paper correspondence is performed.All articles must indicate the name and full postal address(including e-mail,telephone and fax number)of the author to whom proofs should be sent.
