摘要

A study of the mechanical and rheological properties of recycled polypropylene filled with glass fibers, wollastonite and calcium oxide is presented. Materials with a high content of glass fibers show a high tensile modulus and better thermomechanical resistance, but very low elongation at break. When glass fibers are substituted with inorganic fillers, tensile strength, elastic modulus and thermomechanical resistance generally decrease, but elongation at break increases. However, if there is a good balance between the content of glass fibers and the content of the other two inorganic fillers, mechanical properties slightly decrease while thermomechanical properties are not substantially influenced. In addition, at high shear rate the particle shape of the mineral fillers gives good processing properties to the blends.
