摘要

I am honored to begin as the new Editor-in-Chief of Life Sciences. I am excited to guide the next phase of this journal, which has been a part of the scientific community for 50 years. Life Sciences was founded in 1962 by Dr. Bernard B. Brodie and was most recently led by Dr. Frank Porreca of the University of Arizona in Tucson. I am indebted to Frank for his outstanding mentorship; he has guided me as an editor, and our time working together on the journal has been undeniably valuable. I wish him well in all of his future endeavors. I began working with Life Sciences as an Associate Editor in 2006 and have served as both Reviews Editor and Executive Editor. It is now an exciting time for me to accept the invitation to serve as Editor-in-Chief!
