With this issue of Liquid Crystals Today, we have the novelty of two research articles in one issue: A paper by Pisipati about the detection of phase transition of a homologous series of mesogens and one by Wolf about hydrogen-bonded dimers. Otherwise, you will find the familiar topics, a conference report about the International Liquid Crystal Conference 2014 in Dublin, earlier this year, a book review of Volume 3 of the new Handbook of Liquid Crystals, and the news items from research and industry, written as usual by Flynn Castles and David Wei, respectively.
