The WSMR (Wrexham, Shropshire & Marylebone Railway Company) aims to offer a 'best in class' journey experience and a level of smoothness that may be expected in an Audi or BMW. There is, however, a creature comfort that is key to railcar designs that is not found in premium cars - the WC. WSMR, which operates an open access rail service between North Wales and London, believes that the design of its interiors is of utmost importance, including the WC. When the time came to upgrade the existing facilities, the operator was adamant that the new toilet worked with the overall design scheme as well as being in accordance with the new technical specifications for interoperability (TSI) for persons with reduced mobility (PRM), and the operator's own disabled person protection policy.
