Mexico is expected to drive prices down in Japan this season, however, going into the market at prices 40% lower than last year. AVANZA, made up of Primor Produce, Team Avocado and Just Avocados Ltd, finalised sales and marketing plans last month foreach of the South East and North Asian markets it will be exporting to this season. Over winter it visited the group's existing Asian customers, with some of the discussions centred on the promotional budget and initiatives required to support increasedvolumes of fruit to the region.The group, collectively representing more than 75% of industry volume, will be rolling out a newAVANZA carton.
