摘要

The first step in hybrid rice breeding is the development of parental lines and identification of maintainers and restorers. In this study, 161 rice hybrids derived from 22 CMS lines from three CMS sources and their male parents were evaluated. Basedon pollen and spikelet fertility of the corresponding hybrids, 23 maintainers were identified, of which IET 13687-1, IET 13754-2, IET 13863, IET 16074-3 and Vani 2 were very promising. Most promising restorers were Vani 1, KMP 106, IET 13481, IET 8899-2, Vani 1-1 and Pushpa 1.
