IN AUGUST, low in the west at dusk, conies the climax of a show that's been months in the making. Mars passes slow Saturn at the beginning of the month, and swifter Venus overtakes first Saturn and then Mars. Later in the evening, around when this threesome sets, Jupiter rises in the east and shines brightly for the rest of the night.
