Not content with owning a genuine WRC Escort, Remain Oppliger also has the keys to a rather entertaining Group A track day car. Put 'Italian' and 'fast car' in the same sentence and the first thing that comes to mind is something exotic, red, ridiculously expensive and usually owned by a rock star wearing a silly hat. The Italians love a quick motor, in fact they love anything with wheels, so even if it's not capable of doing 20omph and doesn't demand the price tag of a penthouse apartment in Chelsea they generally get a kick out of driving it. There is one proviso though - it has to be something made in Italy or, at the very least, something with an Italian heritage.
