Even the suggestion that Integrated Pest Management (IPM) may not be saving us money in regards to insect and disease control in pecan is extremely controversial. Let me remove any of that controversy up front by saying emphatically, YES! If we look at the whole picture of where we have progressed since the early days of spray schedules and guess work, then undoubtedly we are saving not only money, but also time and other precious resources.
