On March 10 (75 FR 11403), EPA issued a status report on chemicals under review, as well as the receipt of notices of commencement to manufacture those chemicals. Federal regulations require that any person intending to manufacture a new chemical must notify EPA. The agency is then required to publish a notice of receipt of a premanufacture notice (PMN) or an application for a test marketing exemption (TME) and to periodically issue a status report. This report covers the period from Oct. 26,2009-Jan. 22 and consists of the PMNs, pending or expired, and the notices of commencement to manufacture a new chemical.
