Biotechnology lobbies on both sides of the Atlantic are pushing the United States and the European Union to resolve their long-running dispute over approvals of transgenic crop varieties.Four years ago,the U.S.,Canada and Argentina filed a complaint with the World Trade Organization against the EU's de facto moratorium on biotech crop approvals.A WTO dispute panel issued an interim report in February 2006 and a final report last September (see PTCN,Oct.9,Page 1).
