On July 30 (75 FR 44946), EPA issued a notice announcing that the Minnesota Department of Agriculture has requested a specific exemption to use the pesticide spirotetramat (CAS Reg. No. 203313-25-1) to treat up to 275 acres of dry bulb onions to control thrips. The state is requesting to use a chemical whose registration was recently cancelled.
