In the Nov.9 Federal Register (70 FR 68037),EPA issued a status report on chemicals under review,as well as the receipt of notices of commencement to manufacture those chemicals.Federal regulations require that any person intending to manufacture a new chemical must notify EPA.The agency is then required to publish a notice of receipt of a premanufacture notice (PMN) or an application for a test marketing exemption (TME) and to periodically issue a status report.
