摘要

A chemical residue survey of New Zealand-grown celery and spinach, undertaken as part of the country's Food Residue Surveillance Program (FRSP), is producing mixed results. Six out of 48 samples tested showed residues above the permitted level, with one sample four times the allowable limit for the insecticide acephate, according to the results released by the New Zealand Food Safety Authority (NZFSA) July 28. Acephate has a maximum residue limit (MRL) of 0.1mg/kg but in one celery sample the result was 0.4 mg/kg.
