Chinese petrochemical profits rose to 37.5-billion for the January through August 2006 period,representing an increase of 22.5% over the same eight month period in 2005.BASF has achieved its goal of reducing fixed annual costs of 400-million ahead of its targeted date of mid-2007.The savings measures are part of a two-phase restructuring program announced in 2002.
