1.Eastman Chemical has acquired Tongxiang Xinglong Fine Chemical Co., a producer of cellulose-based specialty polymers, located near Shanghai, China. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. 2. Chandra Asri has retained Standard Chartered Bank, Deutsche Bank and DBS Bank for a planned $230-million, five-year bond sale, which is expected to take place this year. The company shelved a similar plan last year because of "unfavorable market conditions."
