摘要

An anomalous behavior of the complex optical conductivity in metallic polymers, which has been a perplexing issue for nearly 15 years, is interpreted quantitatively in a unified way. We show that when the hopping and the band transport of charge carriers occur simultaneously, an anomalous behavior in the optical conductivity is observed in inhomoge-neous media such as metallic polymers. The present model overcomes the problems associated with the previous models and, in addition, describes both real and imaginary parts of the optical conductivity.
