摘要

Radial distribution profiles of ground state atoms and/or ions for calcium, manganese, and copper in an inductively coupled plasma have been measured using an excimer pumped dye laser as an excitation source of fluorescence. As a comparison, radial emission profiles also have been measured with an Abel-inversion procedure. In our low-flow nebulizer plasma system at low observation heights, the profiles of excited state atoms and ions resemble each other with a minimum in the center of the plasma. The profiles of ground state atoms and ions, however, possesses a bell shape except for calcium ground state ions which have double-peaked distribution.
