摘要

The feasibility of routine measurements of the mean droplet diameter in the spray resulting from normal injection of liquid jets into a supersonic airstream under high-density conditions in a blow-down wind tunnel employing the Diffractively Scattered Light tecniquie was investigated in detail. Also, some studies of the effects of injector diameter, jet/free stream dynamic pressure ratios, and location in the jet plume on the mean droplet diameter were conducted.
