摘要

A study of the stabilizing effectiveness of several folding, split flare afterbodies in the presence of an underexpanded jet plume is presented. Mach number was varied from 0.7 to 1.4 and angle of attack from -4 to 6 deg. It is shown that the split flare afterbody can be an effective stabilizing device for tube launched missiles. (Author)
