摘要

This Thesis investigated the applicability of an electronic interface between the maintenance and supply computers in a missile environment. Determining 'if' such an interface should be effected was accomplished in three steps. First, through extensive interviews and filed observation, the present interface was identified and described for a missile environment. Second, a description of the changes that might occur if the interface was automated is given. Finally, each process in the interface was evaluated. To complete the investigation, a simulation technique, Q-CERT, was proposed to be used when quantifiable data from an actual automated interface become available. It was concluded that an electronic interface between maintenance and supply should be initiated when the necessary hardware becomes available. (Author)
