The primary cornice is with large mobile machines designed to cut and excauate rock ocncrete frozen ground ice.etc.a category of equipment that includes coati saws, shale saws, digger-chain ditchers and trenchers and possibly some ladder dredges (Fig. 1). However, for comparative purposes some attention is given to kinds of continuous belt machines, such as ordinary chain saws, band saws, wire saws and belt sanders. St is also shown that some of the equations developed for this class of cutting machine might also be usefully applied to the technology of tracked vehicles.
