摘要

The static and dynamic properties of alumino-silicate S-glass prepreg materials were investigated. Utilizing a series of process fabrication parameters, solid laminates, sandwich beams. Tubular specimens were fabricated by fluid pressure (autoclave techniques. The ultimate strengths and fatigue endurance limits of the specimens were determined over an ambient temperature range of minus 65F to 160F. The effects of actual weather, artificial weathering and condensing humidity on structural properties were also determined. A means of reducing room temperature fatigue data on a statistical basis was developed to account for the processing and environmental parameters. Design properties for the materials in helicopter rotor applications are presented in the form of S-N curves. (Author)
