The study and evaluation of the prerequisites for industrial development of small and medium-size cities is an important scientific-methodological task. ccoirrolishine this task will make it possible to single out cities which are deemed best suited when all factors contributing to the development of industry are considered. In turn, with the compilation of territorial and branch out¬lines for the further development and location of productive forces, it will be oossible to desifnnte snecific Doints for locating industrial construction projects in accordance with the evaluation of the conditions obtaining in various cities.
