摘要

A Gurgler’s type series solution is developed for compressible viscous flows over slender bodies with pressure gradient, variable fluid properties, arbitrary laws of surface temperature and foreign gas injection velocity distribution. A detailed analysis of the external flow is carried out in order to show the effect of the free-stream Mach number on the flow variables in the external stream and to enable us to correlate the boundary layer coordinate with the physical distance X on the body by a simple analytical expression. This relation together with the prescribed conditions in the external stream, on the surface and the way the parameters depending on the thermodynamic and transport properties are represented, help us to choose the proper form of our series solution.
