A farther study has been made of the mechanism by which sill ear Is transported in a silver-alkaline battery. This transport appears to take place primarily by diffusion. Two screening tests have been devised and tested for deter missing the tendency of a separator to pick up silver from the electrolyte and also its ability to prevent transport of silver through the material.
