摘要

Adult albino mice were challenged intraperitoneally with Type B-l Coxsackie virus under conditions of acclimatization and nonacclimatization to 2 C. The results show that exposure of unacclimatized mice to 2° C results in lowered host resistance but that specific immunization is effective in protection under these conditions. Mice acclimatized to 2° C for 40 days have increased resistance to challenge that is independent of specific immunization procedures. The mechanisms involved in protection under these circumstances remain to be explored.
