The purpose of this paper is to show how the transformation from civilian to United States Marine is a conscious, organized and systematic process. The transformation from civilian to United States Marine is not a random process, it is not magic, nor is it a coercive method to meet a specific quota. Transformation is a place, time, situation, a test and trial characterized by the confluence of powerful individuals who are determined to create the future leaders of the Marine Corps. Transformation is a comprehensive method that integrates and trains individuals of every race, religion, color, creed or national origin producing a synergistic effect that creates members of a team who embrace the Marine Corps Core Values of Honor, Courage and Commitment.
