摘要

Recent investigations have shown that SWNTs possess remarkable mechanical properties exceeding those of any existing composite reinforcement materials, such as 1M7 carbon fibers. The exceptional thermal and electrical properties of SWNTs also demonstrate great potential for developing multifunctional materials. However, using nanotubes as reinforcements to produce quality composites is still a challenging issue due to their nanoscale dimension, unique chemical characteristics and intensive molecular interactions with resin molecules during composite processing.
