摘要

A novel class of space radiators, constructed of ceramic fabric materials selected for their high-temperature strength and optical characteristics, is under development at Pacific Northwest Laboratory (PNL). An earlier study indicated that heat pipe radiators constructed of fabric tubes lined with metal foil will have superior performance characteristics with lower mass than most other radiator types. Test results confirm these earlier predictions. 17 refs., 3 figs.
