摘要

This paper discusses the role of composition on the carbides formed in low alloy Cr-Mo steels and also in the formation of proeutectoid ferrite. A method for the rapid evaluation of carbide type, using carbon extraction replicas on the scanning transmission electron microscope, is described in terms of a carbide compositional map.
