A report is given of the practical construction, laboratory calibration and simple-in-situ calibration check of scintillation detectors used for monitoring radioactive inert gases in gaseous effluents. The beta gamma -ray and gamma -ray detectors are identical except for an absorber which is placed over the window of the gamma -ray detector after calibration. The construction and calibration of both detectors is therefore identical. (Atomindex citation 16:022159)
