The product distribution from the combustion-level heat flux pyrolysis of a single, thermally thick particle of wood or biomass was experimentally measured. A detailed mathematical model of the experiment was developed and used to both determine the significant changes in the experimental controllables before the experiments, and after revision, for comparison to the experiments.
