This report summarizes testimony given during public hearings on March 30, 1983, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and March 31, 1983, in Reno, Nevada, regarding the proposed nomination of Yucca Mountain as a candidate for intensive site characterization to determine whether it is suitable for a high-level radioactive waste repository. It also summarizes the written comments received by the Department of Energy through April 25, 1983, an announced deadline for written submissions. (ERA citation 09:001987)
