摘要

During the summer of 1975, the Alaska Division of Geological and Geophysical Surveys (DGGS) conducted a 6-week reconnaissance In wide-spread areas of Alaska as part of the National Uranium Resource Eval¬uation (NURE) program sponsored by the Department of Energy (DOE). Water, stream sediment, and bedrock samples were taken from the eastern Seward Peninsula, from north of Koyukuk River, from the Charley River area, and from across south-central Alaska, to aid in determining the uranium potential of the state. All of the water samples and splits of most of the sediment samples collected by the DGGS were seat to the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory (LASL), in Los Alamos, New Mexico, for uranium analysis.
