The nucleus exp 50 V with a ground-state configuration (pi f/sub 7/2/) exp 3 (nu f/sub 7/2/) exp -1was studied with the exp 49Ti(exp 3He,d) exp 50 V,exp 51 V) exp 3He,alpha ) exp 50 V,and exp 48Ti(exp 3He,p) exp 50 V,and exp 48Ti(exp 3He,p gamma ) exp 50 V reactions induced by the exp 3He exp ++beam from the tandem Van de Graaff at the Argonne National Laboratory. The angular distributions from (exp 3He,d), (exp 3He,alpha ),and (exp 3He,p) reactions induced by 22-MeV exp 3He were studied with overall energy resolution widths of 20, 30,and 42keV,respectively. The reactions (exp 3He,p) and (exp 3He,p gamma ) were also studied at an incident energy of 13MeV to obtain the gamma decay of exp 50 V levels (including two 0exp +isobaric analog states) in which the neutron-proton pair is transferred with zero angular momentum. The angular distributions of the charged-particle reactions were analyzed with the distorted-wave Born approximation (DWBA),and spectroscopic factors have been extracted for the one-nucleon transfer reactions. The two-nucleon transfer reaction (exp 3He,p) was analyzed with the DWBA on the assumption that the neutron-proton pair is transferred as a deuteron. The angular momentum L/sub np/of the transferred deuteron is established for most of the levels,and the possibility that several levels might have spin and parity 1exp +is discussed.
