PRECISION RECTIFIER DETECTORS FOR AC RESISTANCE BRIDGEnMEASUREMENTS WITH APPLICATION TO TEMPERATURE CONTROL SYSTEMS FOR IRRADIATION CREEP EXPERIMENTS
The suitability of several temperature measurement schemes for an irradiation creep experiment is examined. It is found that the specimen resistance can be used to measure and control the sample temperature if compensated for resistance drift due to radiation and annealing effects. A modified Kelvin bridge is presented that allows compensation for resistance drift by periodically checking the sample resistance at a controlled ambient temperature.
