摘要

A summary is presented of the problems which arise in the understanding and description of the physical phenomena which operate in pressure suppression enclosures. Included are the principal phenomena which operate in the event of an accident;the principal interactions among such phenomena;the physical parameters which,in those cases where the existence regime of the phenomenon is known,may effect the latter;the parameters which must be measured in order to be able to characterize the phenomenon;and the points in which it appears that improvements to known,existing codes can make possible a more realistic description of the physical phenomena and thereby an evaluation of the conservatism of the different approaches.
