摘要

The report presents a statistical analysis of data compiled from the service experience with steam boiler drums and other pressure vessels in United States fossil-fueled power plants. The results are defined in terms of probability ranges for the occurrence of a "non-critical failure" event or a "disruptive failure" event in these "non-nuclear" vessels which were built in accordance with the rules of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section I or Section VIII.
