摘要

The amount of fixed NH+4-N varied somewhat with different soils, but within any given soil profile, it generally varied slightly. The average absolute amount of it in the profiles collected la different areas and under different pleat species ranged from 0.0031 to 0.0063 per cent by weight of oven dry soil. EX-pressed as percentage of total-H, the range was 3.4 - 63.3. The extract-able inorganic-N ranged from 0.33 - 7.89 per cent of total-H depending on the soil and the profile layer. Exchangeable K concentration under the plant was 41 to 240 per cent greater than in the bare soil. This plus the higher organic matter content decreased the relative NH+4-H fixation under the plant compared to its fixation in the bare soil.
