The results of a study of the expansion of the Brookhaven On-Line Data Processing Facility (OLDF) are presented. The OLDF system moni¬tors several direct digitizing counter experiments at the Alternating Gradient Synchrotron. An analysis is given of the past performance of the sys¬tem, based on three major experiments. Several system concepts are considered for the expansion. A satellite computer system is proposed in which several satellite computers, each dedicated to one experiment, are connected to one large, central, time-shared system.
